Eddie Alderson
Matthew Rappaport Buchanan
May 2001 - Present

Eddie is the younger brother of OLTL's young actress Kristen Alderson, who portrays the youngest contract role on daytime TV, Starr Manning. This was his first daytime role. He is pictured here with his costar and on screen dad, Larry Lau {Sam Rappaport}. It was later found out that Bo Buchanan was Matthew's father.

Matthew's main storylines on OLTL surround his family interactions. His mom, Nora, continues to be involved with "Dr. Troy," one of Matthew's favorite people. Matthew wasn't too sure about them getting married, however, since he knows that most Llanview weddings don't end with a happy union. {photo on left by Jim Warren, courtesy Soaps in Depth}

Matthew's main goal is like many soap kids: he wants his mom and dad back together and he wants to live as one happy family with them. In this scene he was very proud. He got his mom (Nora) and dad (Bo) to agree to take a family trip together. Matthew referred to it as a family vacation.

Kristen Alderson
Starr Manning
March 1998 - Present

Kristen is the third actress in the role of Starr. She was born on May 28, 1991 and her first air date was March 20, 1998. Kristen made her showbiz debut playing Molly in the Broadway show "Annie," from July to October 1997. She signed a five year contract with OLTL in April 2001, making hers the youngest current contract role on daytime. {photo on left courtesy 20th anniversary Annie}

Kristen recalls her audition...
"I first came in for the audition, and all of a sudden, Tori [the casting executive] looked at me and started screaming and running around, 'Oh, my gosh, you played Molly (on left) in Annie !' She brought me in [to a room where other people were seated] and they were, like, 'Oh, my gosh, you were so fabulous in the Broadway show.' It was between me and this other girl, and after we left the building, Tori told my mom to come in [to another room] for a second. And as we were walking out, my mom said, 'Kristen - you got it.' And I was just like: 'Oh, my god!'" {info courtesy soapcity.com}

Starr loves her parents very much and she wishes that they will get back together. Starr exposed her father as a fraud when he faked his death. She didn't mean to hurt him but she played the pink tape with Todd's confession at his wedding to Tea. She had to deal with his running away from the law and not seeing him for two years. At first she supported her mother's relationship with "Uncle" Max but when Todd became a possibility again she began to hate Max and do anything in her power to break them up. With parents like hers she couldn't have grown up without learning a trick or two. She tore up Max's clothes and blackmailed Nigel. There's more to come. Let's just say that no one expects this child to grow up and be a nun. If she is anything like her parents she will be far from it. {pics courtesy childstarlets.com}

Starr's parents have been together on and off since she's been alive. They've now been married three times, but she's still having to scheme to bring them together on a regular basis. {photo on left by Jim Warren, courtesy Soaps in Depth, photo on right courtesy childstarlets.com}

Christian Thomas Ashdale
John Cramer Manning "Jack"
September 5, 2003-December 2004

Margaret took Jack from Dorian's house just before she kidnapped baby Ace. She wanted to see how easy it would be to walk away with one of Todd's children. She just took Jack for a walk and then returned him home to Blair. Blair was raving mad when she found out that Margaret had her son. She had kidnapped him once before as a baby.

Christian is not seen very often. But when he is, it is usually a very short scene. In this scene he gave his mom Blair a big hug when he returned home from his walk with Margaret. Kassie (Blair) handed him something in his hand once he was done with his lines and his scene. He had a very big smile when he saw whatever it was in her hand. Christian took it and went up the stairs with his nanny.

Steve Austin
Brian Kendall
1975 - April 1978

Steve was born December 28, 1963 and he was 12 when he joined OLTL. After he left, he played Alex Steward in "Natural Enemies" in 1979.

Brian was led to believe his father was Paul Kendall when it really was Tony Lord. Brian came to town with his mother Pat and he really didn't like his mother old/new wooer. He tried to get his parents back together and didn't like Tony's presence in his mother's life. The day he found out that Tony was really his father he went into the street crying and was run over by a car driven by Talbot Huddelston. Brian died because of injuries from the accident.

Kimeree Beyrent
Megan Craig Riley
1975

Megan was a result of a short fling Joe Riley had with Cathy while Viki was still married to Steve. Megan was born in a cabin during a blizzard. She had a heart defect, a genetic problem inherited from Joe. The doctors said she'd live only a few years. Unfortunately while she was left with Viki one day she had an attack and was rushed to the hospital. On the way to the hospital Viki had a car accident, which caused Megan's death.

Zachary and Alex Blass
River Carpenter
1993-1994

Zachary and Alex were the first actors in the role of River and were the longest running infants in the role. Mom Cassie found River in the creche at the church soon after she lost her own child, William. Cassie and Andrew mourned their son, but soon realized that they could make room in their hearts for this baby. {Photo courtesy AlterTommy}

J. Evan Bonifant
Al Holden
1991-1993

When Evan played Al, he needed to deal with his mother being sent to prison and the new women in his father's life: Blair, Lee Ann and Luna. Luna was his favorite, so he did anything he could to get her to marry his dad. Pictured to the left, Max {James DePaiva}, Al and Luna {Susan Batten} sharing a rare family moment. After Evan left his 3 year run on OLTL he played the role of Steven Gale in "Dottie Gets Spanked" in 1993. In 1994 he was Tum Tum in the movie "3 Ninjas Kick Back" {pictured to the left} and in 1995 he played Danny in the series "My Wildest Dreams." In 1997 he had a part in the movie "Breakout: Batteries Included" and in 1998 he was Buster in the movie "Blues Brothers 2000" {pictured to the right}. {Photos courtesy of The Official J. Evan Bonifant Site }

Evan was signing autographs at a very young age. He loved to meet the fans. {Photos courtesy of The Official J. Evan Bonifant Site which is no longer on the net.}

Evan was just 6 years old when he started on OLTL. He wanted to act and his mom and dad supported him. Now at the age of 17, he is a hot teen idol. He has done many TV guest appearances, including Touched by an Angel, ER and many others. In a recent interview, Evan said he would like to keep acting, but if that doesn't work out, then he would like to be a French translator. For now he'll keep acting. {Photos courtesy of The Official J. Evan Bonifant Site}

In September 2002, he joined the cast of General Hospital as the newly-aged Lucas Jones. He only held the role a few months before being recast. Evan's birth name is James Evan Bonifant, and his birthday is August 19, 1984. {Photos courtesy of The Official J. Evan Bonifant Site, which is no longer on the net.}

Cole and Chase Browndorf
Frankie Holden
1995-96

Frankie and Leslie were born in the Sunset Inn in the mountains where Luna insisted on giving birth. They only knew their mother for a very short time, as she was murdered a few months after they were born. Later Max's girlfriend Maggie discovered Frankie was deaf and helped the family deal with it.

Cole and Chase played Frankie from birth until the twins were kidnapped by RJ, after appearing to perish in a car accident. They got into acting after a chance meeting between their mother and a talent scout during a bingo game in Levittown, Pennyslyvania when they were just a few months old. That led to an appearance in the 1996 Ben Stiller film, "Flirting with Disaster," as well as their OLTL role. Since then, they have appeared in four commercials appeared on an episode of Blue's Clues. The boys, who turned 7 in March 2002, also have a sister, Connor, who is 2. {info and pic courtesy Bucks County Courier Times}

Ryan and Sean Buckley
Al Holden
July 1990-1991

Al attended his parents' wedding. After the wedding Gabrielle schemed to make Max {Nicholas Walker} look like a Buchanan, so Al got new grandparents, Asa and Renee Buchanan and became Al Buchanan. (Ironic isn't it?).

The Buckley twins were the last set of twins cast in the role of Al Holden. They were recast when the character was aged just a few years so he could be in more storylines. Al is pictured here with his mom Gabby. Gabby loved her son and would do anything to keep him. She fought with Max all the time about who was the better parent for Al. Gabby lost custody of Al when she was sent to prison. {Captures courtesy of Fiona Fest: A Fan Fete For Fabulous Fiona Hutchison}
